The BACQ project (Benchmarks for Application-Centric Quantum Computing) aims to develop, exploit, and promote a reliable, objective, and practical measurement instrument for the practical performance of quantum computing by considering a set of benchmarks close to real applications.

The BACQ project (Benchmarks for Application-Centric Quantum Computing) aims to develop, exploit, and promote a reliable, objective, and practical measurement instrument for the practical performance of quantum computing by considering a set of benchmarks close to real applications.
The project is supported by the national program MetriQs-France, which is part of the French national quantum strategy. The consortium includes Thales, Eviden, CEA, CNRS, Teratec, and LNE. Together, they aim to establish meaningful performance evaluation criteria for industry users.
